Albian microfloras are generally well diversified in Brazilian sediments. Despite this, palynologycal characterization of this age, and chiefly of its limits, has been difficult because of the occurrence of many long-range species. In this paper, the major features of these microfloras are summarized from publications on this subject, and some suggestions are made for solution of the problem of the definition of the Albian in Brazil.
