Abstract

Assuming that the information in the newspaper arrives in the form of narratives, theaim of this paper is to reflect on how the triple mimesis, proposed by Paul Ricoeur in histrilogy on the relationship between time and narrative, is fruitful for the elucidation ofmediation carried out by journalism. From the triple mimesis is possible to understandhow the journalistic mediations, that are based on ethical issues, begin in the broaderconditions of social and cultural environment integration of the events recounted andare completed only when reading – verbal, visual, auditory or verbal-visual – with theeffective participation of those who take note of the narratives in circulation.
