Abstract

Personal characteristics of entrepreneurs and factors that influence their choices, actions and behavior are important aspects for understanding conception of a business. Factors were analyzed that affected or determined the course of a girl who started her business very early at age of thirteen years. More specifically, we sought to examine family influence and identify main characteristics that contributed to the success of this young girl. This young entrepreneur has been chosen because of her unique experience, undertaking a venture at such an early age, in order to detect new insights into major influences for success of her business. The strategy of case study was used and her life story was used as a technique for data collection including an in-depth interview. Parental influence was found to be decisive in the creation and development of this business and some characteristics of entrepreneurs in other studies were easily identified in this girl such as determination, creativity, desire for independence, continuous learning and use of social networks
