Abstract

The scientific community has recognized the need and importance of investing in researches on teenagers' health. This article aims to discuss the relationship between Health and School through the perception of Primary Health Care professionals who work with teenagers in the Federal District. For this, we used the parameter as Epistemology Qualitative methodology. Participants fifteen healthcare professionals who treat adolescents, and professionals working in thirteen PRAIA and 2 NASAD managers. We visited two PRAIA located in two regions with the lowest HDI in the Distrito Federal, to conduct 15 interviews. These were transcribed and submited to a constructive-interpretive analysis, which allowed the construction of two areas of meaning, named as: 1) the health needs to go to school, but we are paralyzed, 2) The professionals' discomfort with the way the demands are formulated by the school. These revealed that there is great difficulty in integration among professionals in education and health. The main obstacles mentioned focus on excessive bureaucracy, lack of time, shortage and overload and the lack of professionals to build integrated actions, both health and education. Despite the existence of public policies that call for joint action by different levels of government, where health and education, with the center as a teenager, yet to be built by professionals. Thus, the survey notes the temporal distance between the documents officially established and the creation of a local culture among managers and professionals who are in the running.
