Fronteiras corpóreas e incorporações prisionais

Resumo

Comparam-se materiais etnográficos de uma pesquisa numa prisão antes e depois do advento do encarceramento concentrado que a entrelaçou a um conjunto de bairros urbanos. Tornados mundos contínuos, anteriores limites intraprisionais colapsaram, espoletando mudanças inclusive em aspetos corpóreos e sensoriais da experiência carceral. O corpo confinado é descrito não tanto como um objeto de poder disciplinar, mas como constituído antes de mais por relações sociais e morais, tornando as experiências corporais da prisão altamente contextuais. A comparação entre formas mais e menos moldadas por uma relação particular prisão-bairro/s sugere que tais experiências variam não apenas em função de circunstâncias próprias à prisão, mas também em função da especificidade das circunstâncias sociais que a atravessam.
