Author Biographies

• Noélia Borges, Universidade Federal da Bahia

  Noélia Borges de Araújo is Full professor of English at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. She has been a post-doctoral researcher at the Leeds Metropolitan University (UK, 2009-2010) and a member of the Brazilian Association of Irish Studies (ABEI). Her main research interests are cultural and identity representation, Irish Studies, translations and filmic adaptations.

• Monique Pfau , Universidade Federal da Bahia

  Monique Pfau is a professor and researcher of English Language and Literature at the Federal University of Bahia, coordinator of Key-Texts in Translation research group and deputy coordinator of ARIS. PhD in Translation Studies from the Federal University of Santa Catarina and Applied Linguistics from the Free University of Brussels, with a teaching degree in English Language and Literature and a BA in History from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. She is also a translator with publications in the literary and non-literary fields.
