After this preliminary evaluation the text shall be sent to a blind evaluation by two referees who are part of the Editorial Board, Advisory Board or “ad hoc” consultants, according to the text’s theme (DOUBLE BLIND PEER REVIEW). In the case of disagreement between the two referees, the article, review or interview will be sent to a third referee.

All referees consulted by the ABEI Journal commit to

  • The reviewer, after reading the abstract and the keywords, has an idea of who could be the author;
  • The reviewer is from the same research institution or funding agency of the author.

All authors submitting an article to the ABEI Journal must declare that the article is free of plagiarism, original and unpublished. As well, it is part of the Journal's guideline that the authors declare that the article is not being simultaneously evaluated by another journal.

Any other mistakes and/or deviations that are not contemplated in these guidelines should be reported to the editors-in-chief, Drs. Mariana Bolfarine and Laura P.Z. Izarra, so that they may take the necessary steps to resolve the dispute.
