This article is a detailed review of similarities and differences between the two main non pharmacological biological treatments currently used for depression, electroconvulsive therapy and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. Comparison is made on physiological effects, clinical aspects, technique and mechanisms of action. A review of the clinical efficacy is shown in the end of the article.Downloads
