Abstract

This text presented a reflection on the process of modernization of the agriculture technique base, but that it runs away to the boarding suggested in the proper concept of modernization, usually taken as synonymous of progress or as renewal process. For this, it covers a theoretical referencial that show as the modern concept has been set in motion to legitimize ideas and conservatives actions, because if guideline in the supposed automatic relation between technological advance and social development. So, show as the rupture idea about the past is a form to manipulate the collective ideal of social progress, and this aspect was explored that the text, when reveal the impacts has been the changes techniques unchained for the "Green Revolution". So, analyse a social and ambient cost of this standard of agricultural production and its consequences in the ordinance of the agrarian and urban space, as well a blockage of the sovereignty of peripheral nations as Brazil.
