Abstract

Enzootic Bovine Leukosis (EBL) has been known since the last century and nowadays it is considered cosmopolite. In Brazil, EBL has been described in many States. From 2708 samples of blood serum obtained from bovines raised in the State of São Paulo, 1162 samples showed a positive reaction by the agar-gel immune diffusion test (42.9%). It was verified the existence of reactor bovines in the 22 districts included in this study.
