The objective of this paper is to analyze the poem by Charles Perrault Le Siècle de Louis le Grand, investigating in him the emergence and the maturation of a conception of modernity fundamentally opposed to the traditional ideal of the imitation of ancient authors. In the second stage of the text will be exposed, around the Homeric question, the critical position of Boileau and their reserves about the modernity praised by Perrault.Downloads
