Política de rendas: ganhos e perdas da intervenção no sistema de preços

Politicas de renda foram freqiientemente propostas como forma de conciliar pleno emprego com estabilidade de preços. O debate em tomo das possibilidades de implementação de políticas de renda não se restringiu ao meio acadêmico. Na verdade, o pós-guerra conheceu diversas experiências de políticas de renda, com diversos graus de ambição e sucesso. A reação ao intervencionismo, que tomou força ao final dos anos 70, trouxe consigo a convicção aprioristica de que tais políticas seriam ineficientes e, em ultima análise, insustentáveis. Este trabalbo busca recuperar o debate em tomo da política de rendas, identificando os casos em que, teoricamente, ela poderia ser utilizada e as experiências efetivas de sua adoção.
