O Paradoxo da Historiografia Cognitiva
A "virada científica" na História sob as lentes da Epigenética

Apesar de um recente compromisso recíproco com a colaboração entre perspectivas historiográficas e cognitivo-evolucionistas, a antiga “lacuna” entre contingência cultural e determinismo biológico continua a obstaculizar as tentativas de mapeamento do panorama biossocial humano. Nesse contexto, um exemplo pode ser encontrado na tensão existente entre duas perspectivas distintas para as implicações e raison d’être da Historiografia Cognitiva. Com isso em mente, o presente texto alega que um conjunto de desenvolvimentos recentes advindos da Epigenética pode agregar uma variedade bem-vinda de parâmetros e recursos teóricos capazes de explorar tal debate para o benefício mútuo de ambas as partes.
