Abstract

The following regions were observed in the irrigation of the surface epithelium: 1) a preclitellar region without capillaries; 2) a clitellar region with a great number of capillaryies forming narrow loops; and 3) a post-clitellar region with a few capillaries forming wide and sinuous loops.
