Woman in delivery room: basic needs felt affected

This study was carried out with 30 primiparous assisted by nursing and medical students. It had as objective the identification of the needs felt by the women during the period of time they stayed in the delivery room. The data was obtained through interviews. It was verified that the needs more reported for the women were the ones that related to the psy-chosocial needs and among them, it was pointed out security, attention and self image. Among the psychobiological needs referred were corporal mechanics, dolorous perception, termoregulation and others.Downloads
