Abstract

The Hypertension Patients Assistance Program, implemented at the ambulatory of Instituto do Coração — F.M.U.S.P., lead to the possibility of performing Nursing Examinations on individuals with low and mediun levels of hypertension, aiming to a better follow-up of this group of patients. The present work was basead on the data obtained through Nursing Examinations carried out on 32 patients, from October through November of 1985, trying to characterize the profile of group of patients, as well as identifying the common problems affecting the group, and the nursing assistance implemented face to those problems.
