Study on sexual function in paraplegic men: preliminary note

Abstract

The nursing care for the paraplegic patient emphasizes the musculature, skin, intestinal and vesical elimination, use of wheel chair, employment, recreation and leisure, without giving relevance to the sexual performance. This study intends to identify the problems verbalized by paraplegic men, texamine their behavior face these problems and propose an orientation guide to nurses. The data of this work has been collected in the Orthopedic and Traumatology Clinic Service of an University Governmental Hospital.
