Abstract

This was a study on the role of the Federal government in regulating and financing technological innovation and to describe the actions taken that are not always well understood by the stakeholders. The main issues and challenges of the new Brazilian legal framework regarding innovation were highlighted. It also presented an analysis of the Federal budget related to funding for innovation in the different sectors.
