Abstract

The dissertation is a fundamental aspect of the program for obtaining a master’s degree. This task of writing a dissertation on business administration is complicated by a lack of orientation for elaboration and evaluation. Eleven key criteria for organization and qualification were proposed, after theoretical and empirical research, for a test application on 52 dissertations at PPA-UEM/UEL. In general the quality of these dissertations was evaluated as good although problems were disclosed with three of the criteria. Suggestions were included for additional research.
