Abstract

Relations between the organizational change from a serial to modular system and perception of stress and learning attitudes were identified in professors of an IES in Curitiba that has taught Administration, Economy and Accounting Sciences (extension, development, specialization, master, doctorate and MBA degrees) for 40 years. The elements of analysis in the study were associated with change, organizational learning and stress. The change process was characterized by factors such as pressure related to the new system, emergence of stress, learning attitudes, and the relation between learning and stress. Case study, open-ended interviews and two questionnaires were used. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used for data analysis. It was concluded that learning is essential to assimilate the organizational change process which is a source of stress.
