Fatores que influenciam a infecção por H. Pylori e a ocorrência de câncer gástrico: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

Introdução: Dentre os fatores de risco para o câncer gástrico se destaca a infecção por H. pylori. Assim, objetiva-se compilar essa relação e os fatores que a influenciam de maneira sistemática para facilitar seu acesso e entendimento. Material e métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática. As buscas foram realizadas nas bases de dados PubMed, LILACS e SciELO. Foram incluídos artigos originais nas línguas inglesa, portuguesa e espanhola e excluídos artigos de revisão, cartas e editoriais. Resultados: Nos 15 estudos incluídos, verificou-se a investigação de 14 possíveis fatores que influenciam a relação entre a infecção por H. pylori e o desenvolvimento de câncer gástrico: gênero/sexo, idade, local de residência, consumo de álcool, de tabaco, de frutas e vegetais, suplementação com vitamina C, com vitamina E, com selênio, com ferro e com óleo de alho, tratamento farmacológico contra H. pylori, dispepsia e diabetes mellitus tipo 2. Discussão: Notou-se alta associação entre a infecção por H. pylori e a carcinogênese gástrica, assim como a interferência da dispepsia, diabetes mellitus tipo 2, depleção de ferro, hábitos de vida e dietéticos nessa relação. Conclusão: Portanto, a infecção por H. pylori se caracteriza como instrumento de desencadeamento e progressão dessa patologia.
