Abstract

This article is a explanation of the recent history of archaeological research in the interdisciplinary field of research on the indigenous people Jê Meridionais. It is also a reflection on the impact of degeneracionist theory in the fundamentals of archeology practiced in southern Brazil, and it is a consideration on the possibilities of new research topics about indigenous people Jê Meridionais
