An international classification of the reasons for seeking primary care

Abstract

A new International Classification of Primary Care, proposed by WHO, is discussed. Comments are made on a field test carried out to investigate the feasibility of thus describing and characterizing the context of primary care in Brazil. The results were satisfactory, leading to the conclusion that the classification is applicable.
