Proposta de integração do capital social ao ciclo de vida do turismo de base comunitária

Resumo

O turismo de base comunitária enquanto modelo alternativo ao turismo de massa tem alcançado visibilidade principalmente por direcionar seus benefícios para a comunidade. Mas, como qualquer produto, também passa por um ciclo de vida composto de seis fases, que sofrem influência de fatores que podem ser compreendidos por meio do conceito de capital social. Desta maneira, este artigo propõe uma integração entre o capital social e o ciclo de vida do turismo de base comunitária a partir da relação entre seus diversos elementos. A literatura apontou que os elementos desse ciclo de vida são: capacitação dos membros da comunidade, infraestrutura turística, benefícios à comunidade, modelo de desenvolvimento, participação da comunidade e envolvimento de atores externos. Por outro lado, os elementos do capital social são: capital social de ligação, de ponte e de conexão. Em suma, enquanto o capital social de ligação permite que as iniciativas se sustentem, o capital social de ponte e conexão pode ajudá-las a avançar para fases posteriores no ciclo de vida. Ao mesmo tempo, deve-se buscar a melhor otimização desses tipos, já que em excesso o efeito pode ser negativo.
