Abstract

This article is the result of analyzing the frame as a recourse used
by filmmakers to represent through poetical rituals things of the
world, in a manner of creating transcendental visual configurations.
The work is constructed as a reading discourse where one traits to
interpret passages of the films Dreams (1990), by Akira Kurosawa.

    Professor titular aposentado da Universidade de São Paulo. Foi chefe do Departamento de Cinema, Rádio e Televisão e Diretor da Escola de Comunicações e Artes. Um dos fundadores da Pós-Graduação em Comunicações e Artes. Tem livros e ensaios publicados em vários países.
