Prevalência de Transtorno Mental Comum em militares do Exército Brasileiro em tempos de paz

Objetivo: estimar a prevalência da probabilidade de
Transtorno Mental Comum e a relação com variáveis
sociodemográficas e laborais em uma amostra de militares
brasileiros em tempos de não guerra. Método: estudo
transversal com 229 militares de um Batalhão de Infantaria.
Aplicaram-se o Self Report Questionnaire 20 e a análise de
correlação linear com o cálculo das razões de prevalência.
Resultados: a prevalência de Transtorno Mental Comum foi
de 59 (25,76%). As perguntas perda de interesse (39,30%),
sentimento de tristeza (41,05%) e dormir mal (44,98%)
apresentaram maiores razões de prevalência. Não houve
relação estatística entre o Transtorno Mental Comum e
as variáveis sociodemográficas e laborais. Conclusão: a
prevalência é elevada quando comparada às condições de
militares em guerra e reforça a necessidade de intervenções
para melhorar a saúde mental desses profissionais.
