Biografia do Autor

  • Edison Bertoncelo, Universidade de São Paulo. Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas

    É professor de Sociologia da Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH-USP). Mestre e doutor em Sociologia pela Universidade de São Paulo, fez estágio doutoral na Universidade de Essex e pós-doutorado no Cedec, Centro de Estudos de Cultura Contemporânea.

  • Michel Nicolau Netto, Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas

    É professor do Departamento de Sociologia do Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (IFCH/Unicamp). Doutor em Sociologia pela Unicamp, com estágio de doutorado na Humboldt Universität de Berlim, tem pós-doutorado em Sociologia pela Unicamp. Foi visiting scholar no Ilas/Columbia University, nos EUA, e visiting fellow, na London School of Economics and Political Science, Inglaterra. É diretor-associado do IFCH. É membro do Grupo de Estudos de Práticas Culturais Contemporâneas – Gepracc, PUC-SP, e líder do Grupo de Estudos em Pierre Bourdieu – Gebu, Unicamp. É pesquisador do Projeto Temático Fapesp “Para além da distinção: gostos, práticas culturais e classe em São Paulo”. Seus principais interesses de pesquisa são as reconfigurações da nação na globalização e práticas culturais e distinção. Fez pesquisas recentes, a partir desses interesses, em megaeventos esportivos, turismo e mercado internacional de música. Seu livro mais recente é "Do Brasil e outras marcas: nação e economia simbólica nos megaeventos esportivos" (Intermeios/Fapesp, 2019).

    É professor substituto de Sociologia no Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Sociais da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (IFCS-UFRJ) e pós-doutorando pela Faculdade de Filosofia, Letras e Ciências Humanas da Universidade de São Paulo (FFLCH-USP), além de tradutor especializado em ciências humanas e filosofia. É pesquisador do Grupo de Estudos em Pierre Bourdieu – Unicamp, onde coordena a área de teoria e epistemologia. Seu principal interesse de pesquisa é o contexto epistemológico da obra de Pierre Bourdieu, especialmente em suas relações com a filosofia da ciência francesa e seu impacto na teoria da prática bourdieusiana.
