Abstract

The authors show a comparative study between two family groups which were controled in the Disp. Tub. In the first group 101 families were studied, ali of them showing cases of TB. In the second group 100 families with no TB were studied.In the investigation o f epidemiological conditions the two groups showed completely different indexes: 75% of the children up to 12 years of age in the group of families with TB were positive to the tuberculin test; in the group with no TB only 25% of the children reacted to tuherculin. The morbidity index of families with TB was 27,3%.In lhe investigatíon of economic-social conditions,' there was great similarity between these two groups of families. Ali data on income, expedintures,habitation, etc., did not show any marked difference in both these groups. The authors conclude by stressing the necessity of taking in account the infecto-contagious nature of TB.
