RESULTADOS DAS PESQUISAS DE TRIATOMÍDEOS NO DISTRITO DE MOTUCA (MUNICÍPIO DE ARARAQUARA)

Abstract

The authors descrihe the results of a triatomids research in the District of Motuca (Township of Araraquara). From the 439 visited houses, 91 had Iriatomas in its interior. From these, 29 had these insects naturally infected, what gives and index of 6.6 in relation to the total number of visited houses, or an index of 31.8, if we taken in consideration only the number of houses where these hemipterae were found. On the whole, 1.343 triatomiós were examinated, from which 1.290 were T. Infestans and 53 were T. Sordida. Both species were found infected, and the total number of positive insects was 105, what gives an index of 7.8.
