Abstract

Based on an anthropological field work on the Brazilian immigrants living in Barcelona city, the present text aims to understand and explain the main elements involved the phenomenon of the immigration, concerning the Spanish daily life where the society attended, in the last years, the slow and relentless arrival of those called extra-community immigrants. Through the analysis of some aspects of the Brazilian collective, is a possible to visualize in depth and critically, how immigration got new meanings in Spain, in the last decades, as well as consider the mentioned phenomenon in its complexity.
