Abstract

Recent bibliographical analysis has looked favorably upon the roles of gender studies. This study intends to investigate masculine roles in medicine and music between 1890 and 1940, paying particular attention to inebriety and anti-alcoholism campaigns and the role of the bohemian life style of music.
