This text focus on the main conflicts and dilemmas experienced by the native youth of Paraná, when they opt for the schooling as a way to guarantee the professionalization and insertion in the work market. However, this option implies on facing conflicts that emerge from the tension created between their own social and cultural world and that of the whole society. This article discusses the different native conceptions about economy, social organization and work in contrast to the capitalist conception, showing the meaning of the existent contradictions between native settlements and the cities. Also, this work questions the native educational politics that declare themselves as inclusive of the cultural diversity, although they have not yet surpassed the integrationist perspective.
