Abstract

This work aims to emphasize some aspects that characterize these twentieth century last years: 1 - the emergence of Non-Occidental people, especially from East Asia; 2 - the deepening of the North-South gap; 3 - a new technological paradigm: microeletronics. These study aims to comment some facts which are important for a view of Brazil's insertion in this context.
