Abstract

This article systematizes references to topology - a field in geometry – in certain thematic recurrences found in design procedures and spatial qualifications that are been investigated in contemporary architecture. The topology is presented here by an intuitive manner for a reader of the architectural and construction area – not specialized in this theme, therefore. This article pretends to contribute for a better and extended comprehension of the rich and diverse interdisciplinary contact between architecture and topology. Keywords: Contemporary architecture; topology; design process
