Possible links between the History of Science and CTS Education

Abstract

In this article, we present a reflection about the approximation between History of Sciences and STS study, aiming the construction of a more critical and reflective scientific education. For this, we start with a theoretical-reflexive analysis, through a literature review. We conclude that a very positive scenario comes from adopting an approach that links HS and STS study. We believe that this relationship promotes the breakdown of the boundaries between knowledge and is directed in the search for problematizing, human and reflexive education with the objectives of forming more critical citizens and, perhaps, capable of transforming society.

    Possui Graduação em Química pelo Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André (2001), Pós-Graduação Lato Sensu em "Ensino de Química" pela UNESP (2013) e mestrado em "Ensino, História e Filosofia das Ciências e da Matemática" pela UFABC, é professora na Universidade Bandeirantes de São Paulo - UNIBAN e Secretaria de Estado da Educação de São Paulo. Tem experiência na área de Educação, Ciências Ambientais, Química e História da Ciência, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: História da Ciência e movimento CTS, formação de professores de ciências, educação ambiental e formação socioambiental e educação à distância.
