Abstract

The present work intends to develop a reflection on the novel Balada de amor ao vento, by Paulina Chiziane, and analyze it from the perspective of the formation novel, specifically the feminine Bildungsroman, from African references, standing out the feminine representation in the Mozambican space. In this sense, we intend to reveal the implications of the use of such concept in Mozambican literature and the bridges, as well as the differences, that Chiziane's novel establishes with the European model of this genre. For this purpose, as a theoretical framework, the questions raised by Mikhail Bakhtin, when studying the novel of formation, as well as the most recent readings of the theme, proposed by Wilma Patricia Maas, Cristina Ferreira Pinto and Marcus Vinicius Mazzari.

    Cíntia Acosta Kütter é professora Substituta da Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). Doutoranda em Letras Vernáculas subárea − Literaturas Portuguesa e Africanas, pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro − UFRJ. Mestre em Estudos Literários subárea − Literatura Portuguesa e Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa, pela Universidade Federal Fluminense − UFF (2013) e licenciada em Letras Português/Francês, pela Fundação Universidade do Rio Grande  − FURG (2006). Tem experiência como professora de Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa, Língua Portuguesa e Produção textual em instituições de ensino públicas e privadas. Seu interesse versa principalmente nos seguintes temas: gênero, Bildungsroman feminino, memória, trauma e literatura produzida por escritoras africanas, portuguesas e afro-brasileiras. Atualmente integra o Grupo de Pesquisa Escritas do Corpo Feminino (UFRJ/UNILAB).
