Abstract

With the aim of reflecting about the meaning of surrealism and the relations between art, society, and psychoanalysis, this essay investigates the philosophical and critical tenets of two
modes of conceiving the literary representation of dreams, by comparing André Breton’s works to Adorno’s book of dream notes (Traumprotokolle).
