Abstract

The aim of this paper is to outline issues present in Horacio Quiroga´s written work that can be read in the intersection between literature/cinema/psychoanalysis. Within this framework, the following categories are examined: cinema situation (and its links with the notions of dream and fantasy); identification and projection; mirror stage (the role of the gaze, from the point of view of the spectator as well as of the images shot); repetition compulsion.
