Abstract

Due to the recent republishing of three works on voice written among the decades of 1960 and 1970 by Roland Barthes, Jacques Derrida and by the less evident, but fundamental for this paper, Don Ihde, we ask, by bringing together concepts from different areas inside the cinema, the following question: how can those works, somehow ancient but recently republished, contribute to our conception of voices and sound in contemporary cinema?
