Abstract

The present work is to challenge the presuppositions on the base of the notion of communication as associated to  “mass” and “media”. We argue for the hypothesis that the indiscriminate and conceptually uncritical use of the terms reveals interesting aspects of the epistemological fragility of communication studies.
