Abstract

The widespread presence of the new media in the lifestyle of individuals today as well as the concurrence of the ongoing changes in the broader social system are two contextual mediations understood in the field of study traditionally known as media reception. The present article poses primary questions regarding such mediation processes suggesting that both processes point to a possible conceptual reconfiguring in the object and actuality of the field of media reception.
