A representação dos refugiados da guerra Rússia-Ucrânia nos jornais portugueses

Resumo

A Guerra Rússia-Ucrânia provocou movimentos migratórios forçados por parte da população ucraniana, e nesse sentido, os media assumiram um papel importante na representação social destes refugiados. Com este artigo, pretendemos analisar como estes são representados nos jornais portugueses, nomeadamente, no Jornal de Notícias e no Público, durante o período de tempo de 7 de março a 21 de março, do ano 2022. A partir de uma análise de conteúdo, concluímos que os jornais os vêm principalmente como vítimas, onde os países se mostram disponíveis para o seu acolhimento e para a criação de condições que permitam o seu bem-estar, estando aqui presente a victimization frame. Foi-nos possível concluir que estes veículos de comunicação se referem a este tema, tendencialmente de forma positiva.
