Abstract

In this text we intend to discuss the mistakes derived from the misinterpretation of the Psychogenesis of the Written Language on the concepts of decodification and literacy showing their characteristics and the importance of establishing a distinction between them, because the intelligibility of the concepts will influence the teacher's practice in the classroom, either making it easier or harder for the students to learn
