Abstract

How did the muslim-arabian face the use of drugs, during the classic period? That’s the question that impeled the development of this article. From islamic erotic literature, we tryed to show the relation between these men and substances as the hashish, opium and alcoholic drinks – these forbidden in the holy book. The use of the inebriants and psychoatives by islamic people personifies another harmonious acquaintance: that of men and women with the pleasure of their bodies. The prohibitions that emerged later only can be understood if we recuperate these moments of “corporal legality”.
