This article focuses of the nature of literature and the teaching of it, concentrating mainly on the work developed in senior high school. The study also discusses the possibilities of doing a powerful and satisfactory activity with literature un school and the importance of keeping the youngsters in continuous contact with classical literary works, without making of this type of proposition the reading and analysis of fatiguing texts that are uninteresting to the student.Downloads
