Cattle’s livers presenting capillary telangiectasis were studied histologically and histochemically. Through the histological study, the lesions were classified in two groups, in accordance to the absence or presence of connective tissue. The mast cells were mainly found in the lesions of the Group II, in proportional amount to the connective tissue. The hepatic cells around the lesion present a reduction of the glycogen contents or even absence of this polysacharide. The finding of inflammatory infiltrate of the lymphoplasmocitary type was constant in the two groups of lesions, while the majority of cases presented cloudy swelling and vacuolar degeneration.
