Abstract

The binding of thyroid hormones to the blood proteins tend the possibility of their saturation constitute the basis to consider the “in vitro” methods valid for the study of the thyroid function. The results obtained have been expressed on If tables, whose statistical study gave the following conclusions: 1 — The confidence limit for the true TBI mean of the group considered normal was from 0,99) to 1,02, while the tolerance limit covering 90% of these animals was between 0.90 and 1.16. 2 — The two-means test did not show, in the normal group, any significant difference on any data presented. The hypothyroid group, as compared to the normal one, showed a significant difference as far as respiratory frequency, pulse frequency after working test, difference between pulses anti TBI values are concerned. The hypothyroid group showed significant difference only as far as weight is concerned, regardless of the fact that, the TBI mean was high. However, it is our impression that this was due to the small number of animals in the group under study.
