Abstract

The authors tried to study a rapid and precise chemical method for determining the caloric value in pasture plants this method showld be less onerous and substitute the traditional method (calorimetric pump) which takes too much time because in it is impossible to work many samples simultaneously. The alterations suggest are largely applied to determine the caloric value in forage plants and the reduction of volumes employed brings a low price of determination without prejudice in the exactness of the results.
