This is a descriptive study conducted in a university hospital with the purpose to apprehend some aspects influencing human motivation and their implications to work results. A recorded semi-structured interview was used for data collection which was applied to 18 members of a nursing team, of whom 6 were nurses and 12 were nursing auxiliaries and technicians. The apprehended material was submitted to the content analysis technique, which enabled the identification of "Work Itself" as the most frequently cited category considered to be motivating and "Work Organization" as the most unmotivating. The most cited suggestions referred to "Work Organization" and to "Interpersonal Relationship".Downloads
