The generation of meanings in cinematographic images is the context of this paper that has the objective of contributing to the understanding of the concept of affection-image – one modality of movement-image – and to suggest strategies of film analysis. Therefore, we present reflections about the movement image and affection image, based on Deleuze’s perspective, in confluence with the phenomenological categories proposed by Peirce, we write about the film analysis and we analyze long-takes of the movie “The Revenant” (2015), de Alejandro G. Iñárritu. This paper is relevant due to its contribution to resize the film analysis having its foundations on part of the taxonomy of cinematographic images proposed by Deleuze.
